MacLaine, who has a new memoir coming out later this month, told CBS News Sunday Morning that Taylor used to come over to her home and wash her floors.

“She wanted to be a housewife,” MacLaine said about the Cleopatra star. “At least around me,” she continued before teasing that maybe the reason Taylor wanted to clean her floors was because “they were always dirty, I don’t know.”

MacLaine didn’t hold back about Taylor, sharing that she was “a magnificent human being and a very good friend. We hung out for quite a while.”
