Fans are all in on Tim Walz after watching the Minnesota governor engage in an activity that some described as “peak Midwest.”

The Democratic vice presidential nominee recently had an opportunity to test out a pumpkin cannon while on the campaign trail. It “might be the greatest thing I’ve done in a long time,” he said as he prepared to launch the cannon in the seven-second video he posted on TikTok on Wednesday, Oct. 9.

After Walz turned to focus his attention on the cannon, the video showed the 60-year-old politician triggering the device to shoot out a pumpkin, which then struck a can that was set up in the distance for the purposes of the activity.

“They asked me if I wanted to use their pumpkin cannon,” his TikTok caption explained, asking, “Does anyone ever say no?”

A TikTok account associated with Walz’s running mate and the current vice president, Kamala Harris, left a succinct comment on the video, writing, “this rocks.”

Several fans agreed, with one joking, “Oh my gourd, this really is the greatest thing ever 🎃.”

Walz “ACTUALLY might be the best VP ever,” one person declared while another said they “want to hangout with [Walz] so badly haha.”

Seeing Walz use a pumpkin cannon “is peak Midwest. 😂,” one TikToker commented as another described Walz’s ability to “hit the can” as “iconic.”

“I JUST ❤️THIS MAN,” one TikToker commented.

Another social media user said they “can see” Walz “being the dad that had more fun than the kids at kids events… it’s giving green flags.”

Walz and Harris are both busy campaigning ahead of the 2024 presidential election. Voters will pick between the two Democrats and the Republican ticket—comprised of former president Donald Trump and Ohio senator JD Vance—on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
