Festival Downtown Restaurants | Vancouver’s Best Places Canada Reviews

The Dine Out Vancouver Festival runs from January 22nd to February 9th in 2025. During that time dozens of downtown restaurants offer three-course menu deals.

Whether you’re looking for a place in the Downtown Core, Yaletown, Gastown, Coal Harbour, Robson Street or around English Bay, below is a list of some of the best restaurants to visit.

Downtown Dine Out Restaurants

Enjoy a stroll around the core of downtown or do some window shopping at Pacific Centre, along Granville Street or at shops along Robson. Other things to do in the area include checking out the Vancouver Art Gallery or Bill Reid Gallery.

And while you’re in the area, make a reservation for a fabulous dinner at one of the following establishments.

Restaurants Around Burrard, West Georgia & Granville Streets

• Alouette Bistro – a highly-rated French restaurant at 567 Hornby Street. It’s inside the Executive Hotel Le Soleil. The restaurant’s 2025 Dine Out Vancouver Festival lunch and dinner menus cost $49 per person. Both include a choice of duck cassoulet or beef bourguignon.
• Bacchus at the Wedgewood – a fancy restaurant at 845 Hornby Street in the Wedgewood Hotel. Dinner here is $65 during the festival in 2025. Entrée options include steelhead trout, pork collar confit and ricotta ravioli.
• Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar – a high-end seafood restaurant located at the Sutton Place Hotel at 845 Burrard Street. Its festival menu in 2025 includes a choice of steelhead trout, duck breast or pasta for $65. The place also serves Ocean Wise Seafood.
• Café One – refined West Coast Canadian food at the Sheraton Wall Centre Vancouver, located at 1000 Burrard Street. The restaurant’s $38 lunch menu includes a choice of pistachio crusted salmon or smoked chicken tagliatelle. For dinner it offers a $49 menu with sablefish, butternut squash agnolotti or duck breast.
• Carlino – Italian cuisine at 1115 Alberni Street in the Shangri-La Hotel. Its dinner special in 2025 costs $65 per person. Options include risotto alla zucca, carpaccio di barbabietole, tiramisu and more.
• Hawksworth Restaurant – a fancy and highly-rated Pacific Northwest-style restaurant at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia at 801 West Georgia Street. In 2025 it offers a $36 lunch menu and a $65 dinner menu.
• Mosaic Bar & Grille – this restaurant is at the Hyatt Regency. For $34, lunch entrées include your choice of Asian Chicken Salad, Prawn Linguini or a Mosaic Burger.

Other Nearby Restaurants

• Black + Blue – one of Vancouver’s best steakhouses, located at 1032 Alberni Street. Its festival menu is $65 for dinner in 2025. (Note: This restaurant participates in the Ocean Wise Seafood program.)
• Cactus Club Cafe – located at 588 Burrard Street, the Bentall 5 location of this popular chain offers a dinner menu for $45 during the festival. This restaurant also participates in the Ocean Wise program.
• The Keg – BC’s original and highly popular steakhouse chain has downtown locations at 1121 Alberni Street and 688 Dunsmuir Street, as well as in Yaletown and on Granville Island. Its $55 Dine Out Vancouver menu includes a choice of French onion sirloin, prime rib or salmon entrées.

Yaletown Dine Out Restaurants

Yaletown is where you’ll find some of Vancouver’s finest restaurants. It’s also close to False Creek, so a great place to walk around. Below are some great establishments where you can have a three-course meal during the Dine Out Vancouver Festival.

• Cactus Club Cafe – located at 357 Davie Street in Yaletown, this fun casual restaurant’s Dine Out Vancouver dinner menu in 2025 is $45. (Note: This restaurant participates in the Ocean Wise Seafood program.)
• Chambar – one of Vancouver’s top-rated casual dining restaurants, located at 568 Beatty Street. Chambar is a carbon-neutral Belgian restaurant that offers a dinner menu for $59 per person during Dine Out Vancouver in 2025. The place also serves Ocean Wise seafood.
• Gyu-Kaku – a popular Japanese chain with a downtown location at G3 – 888 Nelson Street not far from the Scotia Cineplex movie theatre. It’s a casual yakiniku Japanese-BBQ-style restaurant where you cook the food yourself at your table. Gyu-Kaku’s Dine Out Vancouver menu in 2025 is $49 for lunch and dinner.
• Frankie’s Italian – located at the Georgian Court Hotel at 765 Beatty Street, this restaurant serves flavours from southern Italy. Its 2025 Dine Out Vancouver Festival special is a $55 dinner with three courses.
• Hendricks – an old-fashioned cocktail lounge and restaurant with a modern twist at 433 Robson Street. It’s in the Hilton Vancouver Downtown. The restaurant offers a $55 dinner special during the 2025 festival. Menu items include chicken cordon blue, zucchini cannelloni, a red velvet brownie and more.
• Minami – located at 1118 Mainland Street, this is one of Vancouver’s best high-end Japanese restaurants. Minami’s Dine Out Vancouver menu in 2025 is $52 for a special lunch. This restaurant also serves Ocean Wise seafood.
• The Keg – its Yaletown location is a great one at 1011 Mainland with three-course dinner specials that cost $55 in 2025. The prime rib is exceptional, as are the steaks!
• Tutto Restaurant – a very nice Italian establishment at 901 Homer Street in Yaletown (not far from Robson Street). Its 2025 dinner special costs $55 per person.
• The Victor – steak and seafood at 39 Smithe Street in the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver. It offers a $65 dinner special. Dishes to choose from include steelhead salmon, mushroom risotto, peppercorn steak and more.

Gastown Festival Restaurants

Go for a stroll around Canada Place and the Convention Centre, or do some window shopping and people watching along Granville Street or in Gastown before enjoying a meal at any one of the following culinary venues:

• The Mackenzie Room – a farm-to-table restaurant with a seasonal menu located at 415 Powell Street. During the Dine Out Vancouver Festival in 2025, it offers a $65 tasting menu with five courses for dinner.
• Nuba – a modern Lebanese restaurant located in Gastown at 207 West Hastings Street. Its 2025 Dine Out Vancouver dinner special costs $39 per person.
• Pourhouse – casual dining in a building constructed in 1910, located at 162 Water Street. The restaurant serves hearty meals and old-fashioned cocktails. It offers a $55 dinner special during the Dine Out Vancouver Festival.
• Top of Vancouver – a revolving at 555 West Hastings Street at the top of the Harbour Centre. You get to enjoy your meal while admiring the amazing 360 degree views of the city. Its three-course Dine Out Vancouver menu in 2025 is $65.

Canada Place and Coal Harbour Restaurants

Enjoy a walk along the Coal Harbour waterfront while appreciating the city, ocean and North Shore Mountain views. Then continue your stroll around the Vancouver Convention Centre and Canada Place before sitting down to enjoy your three-course festival dinner.

Restaurants in the area include some of Vancouver’s top-rated and most popular restaurants.

• ARC Restaurant – located at the Fairmont Waterfront at 900 Canada Place, this restaurant offers multiple menus during the Dine Out Vancouver Festival. In 2025 its bottomless brunch costs $55. The restaurant also offers lunch for $35 and a four-course dinner for $65.
• H2 Kitchen + Bar – an exceptional smokehouse-style restaurant at the Westin Bayshore Hotel. The place specializes in smokehouse-style cuisine like rotisserie chicken, barbecued ribs and brisket. • Hydra Estiatorio Mediterranean – Greek cuisine at 475 Howe Street in the EXchange Hotel Vancouver. Its 2025 Dine Out Vancouver Festival lunch and dinner menus are $65 each. Choices include artichoke flatbread, lamb chops, tiramisu and more.
• Five Sails – a fancy West Coast-style restaurant at the Pan Pacific Hotel right at Canada Place. Its 2025 dinner special costs $65 and includes a choice of filet mignon steak, steelhead trout, or mushroom hen of the woods mushroom.
• H Tasting Lounge – at the Westin Bayshore Hotel at 1601 Bayshore Drive (so on the Coal Harbour waterfront, but a fair ways from Canada Place). It offers a $40 lunch menu and a $55 dinner menu.
• P2B Bistro & Bar – an upscale yet casual-style restaurant at the Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront at 1133 West Hastings Street. In 2025 it offers $49 lunch and dinner menus during the Dine Out Vancouver Festival. Main dishes include beef short ribs, ling cod and mushroom pasta.
• Prestons Restaurant and Lounge – a casual restaurant at 1177 West Pender Street at the Coast Coal Harbour Vancouver Hotel. Its 2025 dinner special costs $50. It comes with a choice of lemongrass chicken ballotine, steamed cod or smoked tofu.
• Showcase Restaurant & Bar – located inside the Marriott Pinnacle Downtown Hotel at 1120 West Hastings Street, this restaurant has a diverse West Coast menu. There’s also live music at select times. Its 2025 Dine Out Vancouver Festival dinner menu costs $49. Entrée choices are duck, sablefish & scallops or butternut squash pasta.
• Stock & Supply – a restaurant that uses local ingredients at 550 West Hastings Street, inside the Delta Hotels by Marriott Vancouver Downtown Suites hotel. The restaurant’s 2025 festival menu is $49 per person.

Robson Dine Out Restaurants

Find yourself out on Robson Street enjoying the winter weather while doing a bit of shopping? Reward yourself with a delicious meal from some of the region’s most successful and well-known restaurants.

• Banana Leaf – a Malaysian restaurant at 1043 Davie Street (with multiple locations). In 2025 its seven-course lunch costs $25 and its eight-course dinner is $35.
• Joe Fortes Seafood & Chop House – at 777 Thurlow Street near Robson Street. Its three-course $65 dinner menu in 2025 features a choice of prawn linguine, steak frites or chicken breast. The restaurant also serves Ocean Wise Seafood.

English Bay Dine Out Favourites

English Bay is Vancouver’s premier urban beach. Close by is trendy Denman Street, colourful Davie Street and the seawall connecting False Creek with Stanley Park.

• Cactus Club Cafe – this popular chain’s English Bay location is where you will find incredible food and some of the best sunset views in the city. Located at 1790 Beach Avenue, its Dine Out Vancouver menu is $45 for dinner. (Note: This restaurant participates in the Ocean Wise Seafood program.)
• España – located at 1118 Denman Street, this place serves Spanish and Portuguese cuisine from Wednesdays to Sundays. Its 2025 festival menu costs $43 and includes a choice of braised beef short ribs, spiced eggplant and more.
• Sylvia Restaurant & Lounge – located in the Sylvia Hotel at 1154 Gilford Street, this West Coast-style restaurant has a $50 dinner menu in 2025.

Street Food City Food Trucks

Street Food City is an event involving food trucks that’s part of the Dine Out Vancouver Festival most years. See below for information about the event, or even further below for a brief video showing you what it looks like.

Street Food City is back in 2025. It runs from January 24th until January 26th.

Street Food City takes place in the north plaza (šx????n?q Xwtl’e7énk Square) outside the Vancouver Art Gallery on Georgia Street (between Howe and Hornby). Around a dozen restaurants participate each day. In good years, as many as 20,000 people show up to try the foods over the course of the week.
