Cologne’s hotel industry recorded significant gains in April 2026, driven by visitor demand during FIBO 2026. Preliminary data from CoStar shows occupancy reached 71.7% for the month, up 1.6% year over year. The average daily rate (ADR) rose 7% to €131.02, and revenue per available room (RevPAR) increased 8.7% to €93.96.
Performance peaked on Thursday, April 16, the first night of FIBO, with occupancy at 96.5%, ADR at €277.46, and RevPAR at €267.64. Both ADR and RevPAR exceeded €200 for four consecutive days during the event, the only period in April when both metrics surpassed that level.
These daily performance peaks were the highest for Cologne hotels since October 2025.
