Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa, which is entering its 40th year of operations, has recently unveiled a series of enhancements following a $32 million renovation. The comprehensive resort transformation includes redesigning all 650 rooms, suites, meeting spaces, and the beachfront restaurant, alongside enhanced recreational experiences.

The 650-room resort, set on Fort Lauderdale’s largest stretch of private beach, boasts updates to all guest rooms, suites, and corridors. Furthermore, the resort’s meeting and event spaces have been overhauled, introducing a reimagined culinary concept and amplified recreational offerings.

“For four decades, it has been our pleasure to provide memorable moments to guests through exceptional accommodations, all-encompassing amenities, and the heartfelt hospitality of our dedicated associates,” said Donelle Zunker, general manager of Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort. “We look forward to continuing to serve as the backdrop for incredible vacation and event experiences, now with an even better look and product.”

The redesign, led by California-based CRA Design, is inspired by the locale’s abundant nature, blending serene oceanic tones with modern coastal decor. Guest rooms now display calming hues, woven fabrics, and custom watercolor mural accent walls. Additionally, 31 newly upgraded suites offer floor-to-ceiling windows presenting panoramic ocean views, private balconies, and contemporary furnishings.

Five of the resort’s meeting and event spaces were revitalized with new furniture, lighting, and artwork, spotlighting local nature-inspired themes. The Grand Ballroom and Caribbean Ballroom received sculptural light fixtures in textured glass and bronze, mimicking the movement of the ocean while adding a modern touch to the overall look. Sea Level Restaurant and Ocean Bar also underwent a makeover, with a color scheme of sandy shades and brilliant blues, local coral stone and raffia accents, and a marine-inspired design.

The resort introduced six pickleball courts to expand its recreational offerings, including a tropical lagoon pool, outdoor lounge area with poolside cabanas, tennis courts, fitness center, and kids club activities. Located on 16 acres and a quarter-mile stretch of private beach, Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa offers seven food and beverage venues, a full-service spa, daily programming, and more than 100,000 square feet of event space. Its central location places guests just minutes from Fort Lauderdale International Airport, the cruise port, the shops, dining and nightlife of Las Olas Boulevard.
