“We are overjoyed and so thankful to our families for all of their love and support during this wonderful time in our lives,” the newly-engaged couple shared in a statement.
Hannity said he popped the question at their home church, which the couple deemed the “perfect place” to propose, explaining they initially bonded over their faith.
Along with their shared beliefs, both Hannity, 62, and Earhardt, 48, were previously married and said they “still get along well” with their exes. “We actually made them aware this was happening ahead of time,” the couple told the publication. “Everyone is supportive of each other.”
Hannity and his ex-wife, Jill Rhodes, were married for 26 years before they divorced in 2020. The former couple said they had been separated for some time before publicly announcing the news. They share a 26-year-old son named Patrick and a 23-year-old daughter, Merri.
The Fox & Friends co-anchor shares her 9-year-old daughter, Hayden, with ex Will Proctor, whom she divorced in 2019 after almost 7 years of marriage. She was also previously married to Kevin McKinney from 2005 to 2009.
As for their children, the couple said they “couldn’t be happier.”
While an exact record of when the two started dating remains unclear (as rumors, which the couple denied, suggest they were together long before they took the relationship public), it appears it was sometime before the COVID-19 pandemic when Earhardt hosted her show from Hannity’s home. And in October 2019–months before the lockdown that led her to temporarily relocate the program–Earhardt told People she was ready to date again and even open to having more kids.
“I would love to find love again and I want to demonstrate a loving relationship for Hayden one day,” she said at the time. “But I’m not sure when that will be. I know that God will put the right man in my life if that’s his will and he’ll do it in his time.”
