Ginny & Georgia star Brianne Howey was playing coy about her pregnancy news last time she stopped by The Tonight Show.

Back in 2023, Howey and her co-star Antonia Gentrymade an appearance on the late night show — and unbeknownst to anyone there, she was actually pregnant with her first child and just a few months away from giving birth.

While Howey was able to conceal her baby bump for the TV appearance, she later apologized to host Jimmy Fallon for keeping the news a secret from him.

“I feel bad I lied to you last time I was here. I did,” Howey admitted while returning to The Tonight Show this week. “When I was here, I was halfway through my pregnancy.”

The pair then reminisced on the interview, realizing that because Howey was pregnant, her daughter has technically already made an appearance on the show.

“That’s fantastic…I’m so honored! I’m [her] first talk show,” Fallon exclaimed.

Howey ended up announcing her pregnancy just a couple of months after the initial late night interview and then gave birth to her daughter in June 2023.

During the interview, Howey also offered some insight into her life as a new mom, sharing a photo of her little girl reading Fallon’s children’s book Everything Is Mama and joking that she must love the book so much because she recognizes Fallon from her pre-birth appearance on the show.

“I think that’s why she has an affinity for this book — because she’s been here with you! She’s like, ‘I know that guy!'” Howey joked.

She added that her daughter, whose name has never been shared, is “the best.”

“She’s a maniac but she’s so confident and curious and a daredevil and everything you want in a little girl,” Howey shared.
