Girls Next Door star Kendra Wilkinson is opening up about her decision to start taking a GLP-1 for weight loss.
Wilkinson, 40, rose to fame as one of Playboy tycoon Hugh Hefner‘s girlfriends on The Girls Next Door, the E! reality TV show that ran from 2005 to 2009. In a revealing interview with US Magazine, the former reality star, who lived with fellow girlfriends Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt at the Playboy Mansion, allowed E! cameras to document her life, opened up about how she wants to “fit into my jeans again.”
“I hit 40. I’m happy. I’m at peace, but I noticed that my jeans are a little tighter lately, so I don’t want to go out and shop anymore. Mama is on a budget, so I have to fit back in my jeans. So I actually signed up for a shot company that will be delivering my shot next week. So I’ll start my journey next week,” she told the publication.
I just want to slightly, like, ease my way into it,” Wilkinson continued, noting that “There’s nothing worse than being in a gym every single day, working out and not seeing any progress.” “I just want to be balanced out. I don’t really want to be skinny, but I just want to be balanced and fit in my jeans again.”
What Did Online Critics Say to Wilkinson?
Despite thriving as a single mom, Wilkinson still has to deal with criticism from online trolls. In a new post for International Women’s Day, Wilkinson shared that people comment about how she’s aged “poorly.” However, she says she’s perfectly fine with “a little weight gain and wrinkles” because she’s not going to “tie my happiness again into the negative energy.”
“I am a balanced, single, positive, fun woman who loves life, and I hope that I can manage this feeling forever now after working hard to get here to this place. I was verrrry young when I started TV and lived a crazy chaotic 20 years of impressing others, but now it’s about ME. Giving back to ME. Even with less money and Way less fame. 😂,” Wilkinson shared. “I’m now a realtor and a mom of a 16-year-old and a 11 yr old. Watching them grow has been my ultimate happiness over everything else. I’m so beyond grateful for today!”
