The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) will hold its 25th Global Summit in Rome from September 28-30, 2023, at the Auditorium Parco della Musica.

The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has announced that its 25th Global Summit will take place in Rome, Italy, from September 28 to 30, 2023. The event will be held at the Auditorium Parco della Musica and is organized in partnership with the Italian Ministry of Tourism, ENIT (the Italian National Tourist Board), the Municipality of Rome, and the Lazio Region.

The summit will gather industry leaders, government officials, and business executives to discuss the future of the travel and tourism sector. Topics on the agenda include artificial intelligence, sustainable aviation, destination stewardship, and the preservation of cultural heritage. The event aims to address the sector’s growth, which is expected to outpace the wider economy nearly fourfold over the next decade.

During the summit, WTTC Chair Greg O’Hara will pass leadership to Manfredi Lefebvre, Chairman of Heritage Group and co-chair of Abercrombie and Kent. The transition marks a change in leadership as the council continues to focus on innovation and sustainability in the travel industry.

Italy, a prominent player in the global tourism market, is expected to play a significant role in the discussions. The summit will also explore Italy’s initiatives in transport innovation and tourism policies aimed at fostering a connected future.

The WTTC Global Summit is considered one of the most influential events in the travel and tourism calendar, providing a platform for dialogue among global leaders. The summit will also highlight Italy’s ongoing efforts to embrace the blue economy, including developments in mega-yachts and sustainable marinas.
