Accor Greater China has expanded its Grand Mercure Hotels & Resorts portfolio with two new openings in Hangzhou and Changzhou. The latest properties, Grand Mercure Hangzhou Qingshan Lake and Grand Mercure Changzhou Luoxi, join Accor’s collection of 22 Grand Mercure hotels in China, with nearly 50 more in development.

The two hotels aim to offer authentic experiences tailored to their local communities. Accor’s CEO, Gary Rosen, highlighted the company’s plan to double its Grand Mercure portfolio in key Chinese destinations over the next three years.

Located by Qingshan Lake, Grand Mercure Hangzhou Qingshan Lake offers a mix of historical and modern experiences. It’s located in a high-tech business community and promotes sustainable practices. The hotel features 177 rooms with panoramic windows that provide views of the lake and mountains. The hotel is only three minutes from the Qingshan Lake Scenic Area and an hour’s drive from the popular West Lake area.

Grand Mercure Changzhou Luoxi, on the other hand, is positioned in the bustling Changzhou Airport district. Known for its focus on new energy, smart manufacturing, culture, tourism, and ecology, Changzhou presents a vibrant setting for the hotel. The property is conveniently located five kilometers from the airport and a half-hour drive from the Changzhou High-Speed Railway North Station.

Both hotels offer locally inspired culinary experiences, wellness traditions, and thoughtful design. They also feature various amenities, including restaurants, bars, lounges, Executive Lounges, and advanced fitness facilities. The hotels provide ample meeting and event space for business events and special occasions equipped with advanced technology and smart systems.

Accor plans to expand the Grand Mercure brand in Greater China, with four more properties set to open by the end of 2024. These upcoming locations include Lushan, Sanya Yalong Bay, Kunming, and Shiyan.
