Grandad’s Hamilton doughnut shop begins countdown to temporary closure – Hamilton

A landmark donut shop in Hamilton, Ontario has set an official date for its temporary closure.

Grandad’s Donuts announced on social media on Monday that March 12th will be its last day of business, closing its James Street North and Burlington stores for eight weeks.

The outlet urged customers to start pre-ordering now to ensure freezer stock.

The iconic shop unveiled plans for a renovation in August 2022 and is set to close at the end of January.

In December, the owner informed the public that the closure would expand the kitchen and storage areas and increase the daily production volume.
