Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has gone back to the future after being reunited with a vintage fast food uniform that has special meaning for him.
The “Good Riddance” singer-guitarist took to Instagram Wednesday, March 12, to post a current photo of himself wearing a classic Domino’s Pizza uniform along with the caption, “Well.. ask and you shall receive! My buddy @mark_weiss got me my vintage uniform from Domino’s pizza for belated bday present 🎁.”

Armstrong apparently likes the photo so much, he also used it for his new profile pic. Among those who also like the pic is Kathy Valentine, bassist for The Go-Go’s, a band that Armstrong once collaborated with.
The new photo was part of a carousel that also featured the previously posted photo of a young Armstrong and a pal wearing the same gear while they were employed by the pizza chain back in 1987.
In the caption of the original pic, posted back on Jan. 3, Armstrong wrote, “Passing out dominos pizza cups in Rodeo California with my bud Sean Hughes! 1987. Still wish I had that uniform . Hair was too big for my hat.”
Fans seemed as excited as Armstrong with their comments regarding the vintage uniform.

“You have to play a show wearing this,” wrote one.
“Well, if the band thing doesn’t work out…” wrote another.
“😭😭😭 iconic king,” posted one fan.
Another fan referenced the earlier photo, writing, “Just missing that head of curls I’m totally not jealous of in any way.”
“The fit goes hard,” another fan posted.
Another wondered if Armstrong retained any of his old skills from back in the day. “Think you can still whip up a decent pizza?”
Armstrong and Green Day are currently on a break from the road, but will pick up the action again next month with an April 4 date in Monterrey, Mexico, followed by headlining day two of the Coachella Music and Arts Festival in Indio, Calif. on April 12 and 19.
