After weeks away, and much speculation about his future, Beyond the Gates fans will soon see Greg Vaughan back on screen. The actor is set to reprise his role as Dr. Kial Rollins, marking his first appearance on the CBS soap opera since his debut last year.
Vaughan returns on Wednesday, January 21, in Episode 213 of Beyond the Gates. According to newly released spoilers, Kial’s comeback immediately stirs drama when Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) makes an unexpected proposition.
Kial was first introduced on December 8, 2025, when he accompanied Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) on a blind date arranged by Shanice (Ernestine Johnson Morrison) at WinterFest. Following the event, Kail took Nicole home, and told her it was an honor to spend the evening together, before asking for a second date, to which Nicole coyly replied, “Maybe.”
Previously viewers learned that Kial is a traveling orthopedic surgeon, a widower, and the father of two children.
Meanwhile, Nicole’s personal life has grown increasingly complicated. Her mother, Anita (Tamara Tunie), was recently diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer, while her sister Dani (Karla Mosley) learned she carries the same gene mutation that increases her risk for the disease. Nicole, however, was relived to discover she does not have the mutation.
Amid the family turmoil, Nicole has also began exploring a potential romantic connection with Dr. Carlton Fitzgearld (Robert Christopher Riley), setting the stage for a possible love triangle once Kial returns.
