Guy Fieri’s son Ryder shared a sweet photo with his girlfriend in recognition of National Boyfriend Day, which many social media users recognized on Thursday, Oct. 3.

The PDA-packed image was initially shared by Ryder’s girlfriend, Sophie. The younger son of the celebrity chef later reshared the snapshot on Instagram Stories. A fan also took a screenshot of the photo and posted it on X, formerly Twitter.

In the photo, the 18-year-old was seen bending down to kiss his girlfriend while standing on the deck of a boat. A large body of water stretched out behind them, the surface glittering in the light of the setting sun. Sophie wore a skintight dark-colored top and a long white skirt for the outing, while Ryder wore a striped white button-down T-shirt and black pants.

In her original post on Instagram Stories, Sophie acknowledged National Boyfriend’s Day and wrote, “i love life with u💋.” When he reshared the image, Ryder wrote back, “I love you❤️.”

The photo appeared to be from a trip that Ryder and other members of the Fieri family took to the Bahamas at the start of the summer.

In a June 24 post on Instagram, Ryder and his girlfriend wore the same outfits included in the Thursday snapshot, though for the earlier image they posed for the photo while standing onboard the boat. At the time, Ryder identified the summer getaway as a “Grad trip❤️” celebrating his recent graduation from high school.

The college freshman recently began attending classes at San Diego State University in San Diego, Calif. His mom, Lori Fieri, and father helped move their youngest son into the dorms near the end of the summer.

As the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives host explained in an Aug. 27 post on Instagram, the reality of their new family life hadn’t “fully hit us yet” during the move-in process, but he predicted that “not seeing him everyday is gonna be hard.”
