Hallmark star Paul Campbell was forced to leave the second annual Hallmark Christmas Cruise early due to a family emergency, EntertainmentNow reported.
According to the outlet, Campbell was one of 18 Hallmark stars aboard the Norwegian Joy that left from Miami on November 6. However, he was forced to fly home to Alberta from Cozumel during the ship’s planned stop.
Actress Nikki DeLoach, who was co-hosting the fan cruise alongside Mean Girls star Jonathan Bennett, announced Campbell’s departure. Pal Kimberley Sustad left with Campbell for support. The hosts led a prayer on board, which Megan McNulty shared via her Instagram Story.
“Because there’s something so much bigger & greater than silver and gold, or anything we can tangibly hold,” she captioned the post, which was reshared by Starwatch Byline.
Hallmark VP of Communications Annie Howell shared an update on Campbell’s well-being via Facebook, saying, “Hi all — he has been dealing with an illness in his family and is with them now in Alberta. He is doing fine and I know appreciates all your thoughts and prayers.”
The Canadian actor’s latest film, Three Wisest Men, premieres Saturday on Hallmark Channel. The Extended Cut version will be available on Hallmark Plus the follow day.
