Han Dong serves Global News with libel notice over foreign interference report – National

Han Dong’s attorney told Global News and its parent company Corus Entertainment after news outlets published claims that Toronto lawmakers had spoken to Chinese diplomats about delaying the release of two Canadians. I sent you a notice of defamation.

Spokespeople for Global News and Corus Entertainment said they could not comment because both companies have received defamation notices, but added that Global News is governed by a strict set of journalism principles and practices.
