In celebration of National Burrito Day on April 3, Chipotle is bringing back the famed Burrito Vault, in which players have to guess an exact burrito combination, including all of its ingredients, in order to successfully decipher a code.
This nationwide online event will go into effect today, March 31, at 9 a.m. EST and will last until Wednesday, April 2 at 11:59 p.m. EST. As for the total worth of prize winnings possible for fans who participate? According to Chipotle, the code to enter the Burrito Vault will change every hour. And since the chain is promising roughly 157,500 buy one, get one free entrée codes to be given away within this 3-day event, that means there will be 2,500 BOGO codes up for grabs each hour. As an added bonus, fans will also get the chance to win free burritos for a year simply by playing the game, with the first player to unlock the Burrito Vault each hour winning the year-long prize.
Additionally, fans who happen to successfully unlock the vault after all of the hourly BOGO codes have been claimed won’t be entirely out of luck. These players will receive 25 rewards points in their Chipotle Rewards account one time during the campaign. To participate in the unlocking of the vault, you’ll need to include the email attached to your Chipotle Rewards account first, so make sure your account is all set up before trying your luck.

“Inspired by the popularity of word puzzles, Burrito Vault was played more than two million times in 2024, and prizes were claimed in under 20 minutes,” Chipotle explained in a press release promoting the limited event. “This year, Chipotle is once again challenging fans to guess the exact order combinations, ingredient by ingredient, to unlock the bank.”
In addition to the National Burrito Day festivities, Chipotle will also be awarding its Rewards members with a $0 delivery fee on all orders made through the Chipotle App, Chipotle.com and Chipotle.ca by using the code DELIVER on April 3.
