Now available as a digital or printed resource, the recently-released edition is the worldwide, authoritative standard for lodging financial and operating reporting.

Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) is pleased to announce that the newly-revised 12th edition of the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI™) is now available as a soft-cover book. This edition was initially released as a digital publication in July 2024, and with the printed version available, users have an additional option for accessing the uniform system’s guidance.

Available for purchase on the USALI website, purchasers of the soft cover book also receive a two-year digital subscription. The subscription includes access to the e-book with features for users to add notes and comments within the digital platform. Additionally, the subscription grants access to the newly-available USALI Revenue and Expense Dictionary, a searchable database of revenue and expense line items and their applicable schedules.

The revision process for the 12th Revised Edition has been overseen by the Global Finance Committee (GFC), jointly sponsored bythe American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) and HFTP. The GFC comprises global financial leaders from AHLA’s Financial Management Committee and HFTP members representing the most prominent global hotel brands, operators, owners, and other industry authorities. The GFC has meticulously revised this essential publication with enhancements incorporating financial and operating changes, a new sustainability section, and a section specific to all-inclusive hotels. The adoption date for this edition is January 1, 2026.

HFTP and GFC members created a webinar series called “USALI 12th Revised Edition Deep Dive” to assist readers in understanding the changes made for this edition. Each webinar covers a specific section or topic, providing comprehensive insights into the revision details. The recordings and companion blog posts are available on the USALI website.

The soft-cover book is available for $129 USD for HFTP members and $149 USD for nonmembers. Discounted pricing is available for bulk purchases of over 50 books.
