Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals Association (HFTP®) is pleased to announce the appointment of Lyle Worthington, CHTP, as its 2026 EU Operations Advisor. A seasoned industry leader and founder of Worthington Consulting, Worthington brings decades of technology strategy and operational expertise to this pivotal role.
In his capacity as EU Operations Advisor, Worthington will leverage his extensive knowledge of the European hospitality landscape to guide HFTP’s strategic initiatives across the continent. His deep understanding of the association’s mission, combined with his forward-thinking approach to hospitality technology, makes him uniquely qualified to support HFTP’s continued growth and member engagement in the region.
Worthington is a long-standing volunteer figure within the HFTP community and has a proven track record of driving innovation for the association. During his tenure as HFTP Global President (2014–2015), he was instrumental in the creation and launch of Entrepreneur 20X (E20X), HFTP’s hospitality technology startup pitch competition. Since its inception, E20X has become a premier event at HITEC® branded events, showcasing the most innovative technologies in the hospitality industry and providing a platform for startups to gain visibility among industry leaders.
Currently, Worthington also serves as chair of the 2026 HITEC Advisory Council. This group of highly knowledgeable industry veterans from around the globe, lend their expertise to the planning and coordination of the conference’s education program.
Beyond his professional achievements in hospitality technology, Worthington is recognized for his leadership in athletics. He currently serves as the mental and performance coach for The Netherlands Lacrosse Field and Olympic Sixes Teams, which are set to compete in the upcoming Olympic qualifiers and Field World Championships. This dual commitment to excellence in both professional consulting and competitive sports underscores the dynamic leadership style he brings to his advisory position.
This appointment reinforces HFTP’s dedication to strengthening its global footprint and ensuring that its European operations are guided by leaders who understand both the legacy and the future of the association.
