Indulge in a guilt-free treat with this sugar-free Date Peanut Butter Chocolate Bark. Enjoy the perfect combination of dates, peanut butter, and melted chocolate.
Eating a date and peanut butter together is delicious, but add melted chocolate over the top, and you will have a copycat Snickers bar treat.
At least, that’s what my mouth tells my brain to keep me from scarfing down a Snickers bar.
Chocolate-covered dates with peanut butter are the new rage in the high-protein treat world.
I’ve taken it further and created a sugar-free, high-protein date peanut butter chocolate bark with added whole peanuts and used powered pb.
Although I don’t add refined sugar to my recipe, you can use melted semi-sweet chocolate or milk chocolate and full-fat peanut butter to make the bark.
Are Dates High In Protein?
No, medjool dates have a small amount of protein, 0.4g for each date.
Dates are tropical fruits naturally high in sugar with a caramel texture that adds sweetness to anything they are added to.
Unless you purchase pitted dates, there will be a stone inside that can easily be removed.

Best Dates To Use For Date Peanut Butter Chocolate Bark
I’ve eaten dates raw, cooked, dried, and baked into date squares and other baked goods.
Medjool dates are my favourite and all I ever use when I bake.
You can find Medjool dates at Canadian grocery stores, mainly in the produce section with dried fruits and nuts, or purchase them online.
Every Indian supermarket I’ve visited has also carried a variety of dates for recipes.
