Hilary Duff’s husband, Matthew Koma, came out swinging to defend his wife after one of her followers left a trolling comment on a set of photos other fans called “stunning.”
The Lizzie McGuire star posted a trio of summery snapshots on Instagram on Tuesday, April 15. She wore a sunshine yellow outfit with her hair styled in soft waves, completing the ‘fit with a sunkissed makeup look over flawless skin, leading one commenter to criticize her use of cosmetic procedures.
“Why did she do Botox, I swear to god everyone else is the same,” the user, who goes by the username yourebutterfly08, commented on the photos.
Many were quick to jump to Duff’s defense, with one person wondering, “who cares what she does with her body/face? Why even comment ? She’s a kind person many of us looked up to growing up and she can do whatever she wants.”
“honestly she’s a working mom, gave birth to 4 children .. she can whatever the heck makes her feel good,” someone else declared. “I’ve had one child … 31 years ago 😂😂😂😂 … and I need Botox !!!”
Even Duff’s husband made his way into the mix, boldly telling the commenter, “Get fckd [sic] butterfly.”
Fans were pleased with his response, with one applauding him for “showing everyone how great husbands stick up for their wives 👏.”
“BYE,” someone else simply wrote over the interaction.
It’s unknown if the How I Met Your Father alum has received Botox or other cosmetic procedures, though, if she has, fans agree that it “looks good on her.”
The 37-year-old mentioned the injections in a previous interview with Women’s Health where she got candid about attending therapy. “We bust our ass to get our bodies in shape and to look the best we can. We get facials and Botox and our hair done and highlights and brows and lash lifts and all this shit,” she said. “But I want to work on the inside. That’s the most important part of the system.”
