Briks brings over 20 years of industry experience to his new role at the 478-room property
Hilton (NYSE: HLT) announced the appointment of Dan Briks as general manager of the 478-room Hilton New York Times Square. In this role, Briks will lead the team across all aspects of hotel operations, including sales and marketing and guest services. An accomplished hospitality veteran with more than 20 years of leadership experience in New York City’s premier hotels, Briks joins Hilton New York Times Square from Martinique New York on Broadway, Curio Collection by Hilton, where he served as general manager since 2021. During his tenure, he successfully reopened the hotel following a two-year closure, oversaw the introduction of new food and beverage outlets, and recently led the renovation of the hotel’s lobby.

Prior to his role at Martinique New York on Broadway, Curio Collection by Hilton, Briks served as general manager at Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza. His leadership experience also includes hotel manager positions at The Lexington Hotel, Autograph Collection, and Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel. Briks began his career at the legendary Waldorf Astoria New York as part of the management development program, spending 11 years in various leadership roles across food and beverage and front office operations, ultimately serving as executive assistant manager overseeing rooms, restaurants, and banquet operations.
Briks holds a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Business from Michigan State University and has served on the Board of Directors for Michigan State University’s School of Hospitality Business. He is currently on the Board of Directors of the Hotel Association of New York City and is a member of the General Manager Committee for the American Hotel & Lodging Association.
