Project Overview

Hilton Grand Vacations Inc. has opened Tradimo Kyoto Gojo, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club, marking the company’s first property in Kyoto and its third in Japan. The resort features 63 one-bedroom suites with kitchens. The suites are designed to reflect the local character and lifestyle of Kyoto.

Development

The ten-story Tradimo Kyoto Gojo preserves the building’s original structure and façade, with design elements inspired by kintsugi, a Japanese art form. Japanese cypress and bamboo were sourced from local suppliers for the project. The design incorporates features of Kyoto’s traditional wooden townhouses, known as kyo-machiya, and blends indoor and outdoor spaces. The entrance features a Japanese moss garden, and the lobby includes Japanese paper partitions and display alcoves for art and seasonal flowers.
