The Hilton Milwaukee has completed a $42 million renovation, updating its lobby, meeting spaces, and guest rooms.
The Hilton Milwaukee, the largest hotel in Milwaukee, has finalized a $42 million renovation, marking the most extensive update in the property’s history. The renovation project included a complete redesign of the lobby, meeting and event spaces, and all 554 guest rooms.
The hotel’s two-story lobby retains its original architectural features, such as crystal chandeliers, marble pillars, and intricate woodwork, while incorporating a new design with a neutral color palette. The adjacent lobby bar, The Monarch Lounge, also underwent updates, maintaining its stone-and-metal fireplace and crystal chandeliers.
The renovation extended to the hotel’s meeting and event facilities, which encompass over 34,000 square feet. The three ballrooms and additional meeting rooms were refurbished with new carpeting, draperies, and wall coverings, while preserving features like crystal chandeliers and antique mirrors. The spaces now include updated lighting controls and digital signage to meet contemporary event requirements.
All guest rooms were redesigned with new furnishings and lighting inspired by Art Deco aesthetics. The rooms now feature motion-sensor lighting, updated heating and ventilation systems, and newly designed bathrooms with marble countertops and lighted mirrors.
The Hilton Milwaukee, originally opened in 1928, has undergone several ownership changes and renovations over the years. The recent renovation aligns with its role as a central hub for visitors and events in Milwaukee, situated near the newly renovated Baird Center and other local attractions.
