Curio Collection by Hilton opened Kahavadi Chiang Rai on 1 July 2026, introducing a 167-room riverside hotel as Hilton’s first property in Northern Thailand and the Curio Collection’s debut in Chiang Rai.
Located along the Mae Kok River, the hotel’s design is inspired by Lanna merchant heritage and features works by artists from Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai. Kahavadi Chiang Rai will offer seven room types, including 144 Deluxe rooms and suites in four configurations: 110 Deluxe rooms, 24 Deluxe with Garden Terrace rooms, eight Deluxe Pool Access rooms, and two Deluxe Accessible rooms. Additional accommodations include 22 One Bedroom Suites and a 225-square-metre Two Bedroom Kahavadi Family Suite. Twenty-six rooms are available as connecting options. All rooms overlook gardens, pools, or offer partial views of the Mae Kok River.
Dining options include three venues: Larderley, serving Thai, Asian, and international dishes in an all-day dining format; Tasabiang, offering Northern Thai cuisine along the river; and The Ledger, the hotel’s lounge and bar, serving cocktails and small plates.
Facilities include an eForea spa with treatments rooted in Northern Thai healing traditions such as Tok Sen, outdoor pools, and a 24/7 fitness center. The hotel will also offer a curated discovery program, including guided bicycle tours to nearby temples, traditional almsgiving experiences and Lanna cooking classes that begin with a tour of the hotel garden and a visit to a local market.
For meetings and events, Kahavadi Chiang Rai provides 1,980 square meters of event space across six venues, including a 1,762-square-metre riverside lawn and ballroom, as well as flexible meeting rooms for smaller gatherings.
The hotel is located at 6 Moo 4, Tambon Rimkok, Muang Chiang Rai, Chiang Rai 57100, approximately a 10-minute drive from Chiang Rai’s city center. The location offers access to regional landmarks such as Wat Rong Khun (the White Temple), Wat Rong Suea Ten (the Blue Temple), the Golden Triangle, Doi Mae Salong, and Doi Tung.
