Hilton has announced the opening of the Palacio de Godoy Cáceres, a new addition to its Curio Collection, located in Cáceres, Spain. The hotel is situated in the restored 16th-century Palacio de Godoy, originally built in 1563. The property features 73 guest rooms and is located in Plaza de Santiago, near the city’s Plaza Mayor.
The project, developed by SCIPION Real Estate, involved a €14 million investment and created 60 jobs. The hotel is managed by Panoram Hotel Management, a company with a portfolio of 20 hotels in Spain and Italy. The opening marks the introduction of the Curio Collection by Hilton brand to Cáceres, a city recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its historical architecture and cultural significance.
The Palacio de Godoy Cáceres features several amenities, including grand function rooms, the Bar Virú, a rooftop bar with views of the old city and the Extremadura countryside, a spa, and the Mamay Aldana restaurant. The restaurant, under the guidance of Chef Antonio Manuel Céspedes Rodríguez, aims to highlight the history and tradition of Extremadura through its cuisine.
BSV Arquitectos managed the hotel’s architecture, while Álvaro de la Rosa designed the gardens. The landscaping incorporates native plants and American species, drawing inspiration from the gardens of Lima in the 16th and 17th centuries.
The Palacio de Godoy Cáceres is part of Hilton Honors, the company’s loyalty program for guests. The hotel is located at Calle de Godoy, 1, Cáceres, Spain.
