Hilton has announced it has surpassed 100 hotels in operation and development in Saudi Arabia, with a total owner investment of $8 billion.

Hilton has reported reaching a significant milestone in its expansion across Saudi Arabia, with more than 100 hotels now either operational or in development. This expansion represents a combined investment of $8 billion by the owners. The company plans to add over 22,000 rooms to the country’s hospitality sector, contributing to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals.

The expansion includes the introduction of Hilton’s Tempo brand to the Middle East and Africa, with the Tempo by Hilton Riyadh Al Narjis expected to open in 2029. This hotel will feature 135 guest rooms and various amenities, including a lobby café, restaurant, fitness room, and meeting spaces. It will be located along King Salman Road, providing access to residential and commercial areas.

Hilton’s growth strategy in Saudi Arabia also includes developing luxury properties. Notable projects include the Conrad Riyadh Laysen Valley, set to open in 2026, and several Waldorf Astoria hotels in Riyadh, Diriyah Gate, and Madinah. Additionally, Hilton is collaborating with Rua Al Madinah Holding to open three properties in Madinah, including a Conrad Hotels & Resorts location.

Further developments are planned in various cities, including Abha, Buraidah, Dammam, Riyadh, and Jeddah. The Hijla Hotel Abha, Curio Collection by Hilton, is scheduled to open in 2027 with 151 rooms and suites. DoubleTree by Hilton Riyadh Al Narjis and DoubleTree by Hilton Buraidah are expected to open in 2029 and 2028, respectively.

Hilton has also signed an agreement with Medokhil Group for the development of Spark by Hilton Dammam, a 160-room property located on King Fahd Road. The company is introducing its premium economy brand, Spark by Hilton, in the Middle East with the upcoming Spark by Hilton Makkah Aziziyah, set to open next year.

The company currently operates 21 hotels in the Kingdom, with 83 more in the pipeline.
