Hilton has announced plans to expand its Italian portfolio by adding two new hotels in Rome and Naples. Under the brands DoubleTree by Hilton and Hampton by Hilton, these new properties are expected to be operational by 2025.
Alan Mantin, vice president of development for Southern Europe at Hilton, highlighted the company’s growth in Italy, pointing to adding over 2,000 rooms to their pipeline. With tourism in Italy reaching nearly 60 million visitors in 2023, the company is excited to offer more accommodation options in the bustling cities of Rome and Naples.
The 124-room Hampton by Hilton Rome St Peter’s, set to open in March 2025, results from a franchise agreement with Italyhotelmanagement Srl. Located near the Vatican City and Via Gregorio VII, the hotel is ideally situated for both business and leisure travelers. Guests will have access to a gym, two meeting rooms, and a proximity to St Peter’s Square, a popular tourist spot. The hotel is also near various local restaurants where guests can enjoy authentic Italian cuisine.
The second property, DoubleTree by Hilton Naples Oriente, will debut in spring 2025 following a franchise agreement with F.G.N Horn Srl. This 112-room hotel is centrally located in Naples and within walking distance of key tourist attractions like The Royal Palace of Naples and the Sansevero Chapel Museum. The hotel offers amenities such as a gym, an all-day dining restaurant, a rooftop bar offering city views, and versatile meeting rooms. It is also just 6.5 km from Naples International Airport, making it a convenient base for tourists and business travelers.
Guests of both hotels will be able to benefit from the Hilton Honors guest loyalty program, which offers direct booking, points for hotel stays, and exclusive member discounts.
These two new hotels will join Hilton’s existing portfolio of 99 hotels in Italy, which includes recent openings like the Anglo American Hotel Florence and Hilton Garden Inn Milan Malpensa.
