Hilton Signs DoubleTree Hotel in Rajkot, India

Hilton has signed DoubleTree by Hilton Rajkot, its first hotel in Rajkot and the first DoubleTree by Hilton property in the city. The hotel will be developed in partnership with Sanjayraj and Co.

The property will be located on Second Ring Road in Rajkot’s emerging commercial district, with access to business and industrial areas, Rajkot Junction railway station and Rajkot International Airport.

Upon completion, the hotel will have 145 guest rooms and suites. Planned facilities include an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a spa, fitness center and an indoor-outdoor swimming pool.

The hotel will include approximately 22,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including a 17,400-square-foot ballroom and three meeting rooms. The facilities are intended to accommodate corporate events, conferences, weddings and social celebrations.

DoubleTree by Hilton Rajkot will be Hilton’s fourth hotel in Gujarat. The company’s existing hotels in the state are DoubleTree by Hilton Ahmedabad, Hilton Garden Inn Surat City Centre and Hampton by Hilton Vadodara Alkapuri.

Rajkot is Gujarat’s fourth-largest city and a center for engineering, manufacturing and trade. Business travel, meetings, weddings and social events drive demand in the market.

Hilton has 12 DoubleTree hotels operating in India and another 14 in its pipeline. The company also has more than 100 operating and pipeline hotels across India.
