Hilton also announces the Hilton Garden Inn Rome Colosseum to open in 2026
Hilton announced two new hotel signings for Italy. The agreements, made under franchise with Forimi Italia Spa, a part of Gruppo Roscioli, will see the introduction of Hilton’s Canopy brand to Italy with the Canopy by Hilton Milan Duomo and further growth for the Hilton Garden Inn brand with the opening of Hilton Garden Inn Rome Colosseum.
The Canopy by Hilton Milan Duomo, which will debut later this year, will mark the 11th Hilton brand to open in Italy. Featuring 96 guest rooms, the hotel will introduce guests to Hilton’s Canopy lifestyle brand.
Alan Mantin, Hilton’s vice president of development for Southern Europe, commented on the expansion, stating that Italy remains a key market for Hilton, with 109 trading and pipeline hotels in the country. Mantin expressed excitement over the upcoming Canopy by Hilton Milan Duomo, the first of its kind in Italy, and the Hilton Garden Inn Rome Colosseum, which continues to demonstrate strong demand for the brand in Italy.
The Canopy by Hilton Milan Duomo will be located on the vibrant Via Torino and will offer guests an elevated boutique hotel experience. The property will feature a range of premium amenities, including a restaurant, lobby bar, rooftop bar with city views, indoor and outdoor pools, and wellness and fitness facilities.
The Hilton Garden Inn Rome Colosseum, expected to open in time for the 2026 summer season, will feature 181 rooms and offer upscale and affordable accommodation. The property is conveniently located within walking distance of major tourist attractions and transport links, allowing guests to explore Rome’s rich history and culture.
