Hilton has announced plans to open the first Signia by Hilton property in Texas with the conversion of La Cantera Resort & Spa in San Antonio, set to begin operations in October 2025.

Hilton has announced the signing and upcoming conversion of La Cantera Resort & Spa to Signia by Hilton La Cantera Resort & Spa in San Antonio, Texas. The property will begin operations under the Signia by Hilton brand on October 1, 2025, and is currently accepting reservations for stays starting on that date.

The resort, located in the Texas Hill Country, will be the first Signia by Hilton property in Texas. Ohana Real Estate Investors owns the hotel, and Hilton will manage the property. The La Cantera Resort & Spa recently underwent an 11-month renovation costing $40 million, which included updates to its 496 guest rooms, 34 boutique-style villas, and an adults-only floor.

The resort offers a variety of dining options, including nine restaurants such as the Signature Restaurant, which is recognized in the Michelin Guide Texas 2024. Other amenities include the Loma de Vida Spa & Wellness, the La Cantera Golf Club, five pools, a kids’ camp, and nature trails. The property also features 115,000 square feet of meeting space, including a grand ballroom and a new 5,600-square-foot venue named Calera.

The conversion to a Signia by Hilton property is part of Hilton’s strategy to expand the brand’s presence in key destinations.

The resort will join Hilton’s portfolio of properties worldwide, including recent openings such as Signia by Hilton Amman in Jordan and the upcoming Signia by Hilton Indianapolis in 2026. Guests at the Signia by Hilton La Cantera Resort & Spa will have access to the Hilton Honors loyalty program, which offers benefits for members who book directly through Hilton’s channels.
