Hilton has announced plans to open four new hotels in Lyon, France, through franchise agreements with Arteloge. These plans include the debut of the Spark by Hilton brand in the country and the addition of a second DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Lyon.

The Spark by Hilton Lyon Ouest and Spark by Hilton Lyon Park Saone are scheduled to open in late 2025, while the Spark by Hilton Lyon Eurexpo is planned for summer 2026. The DoubleTree by Hilton Lyon Plage is expected to welcome guests in 2028. The four hotels will provide a total of 655 rooms.

The new Spark by Hilton hotels will be located in Lyon’s 9th arrondissement, close to the business district and the Saône River. The Spark by Hilton Lyon Eurexpo will be near the Eurexpo exhibition and major transport links. All three Spark by Hilton properties will offer a range of amenities, including comfortable public spaces, a 24-hour retail market, and vibrant design elements.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Lyon Plage, set to undergo a complete renovation before its 2028 opening, will feature 118 guest rooms and 56 extended-stay accommodations. The hotel will also provide a restaurant, a bar, and 12 conference rooms, catering to leisure and business travelers. It will be located near major transport links and alongside a large spa facility on the Saône River.

Both companies expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration. Hilton’s senior vice president of development, EMEA, Patrick Fitzgibbon, highlighted France as a key growth market and praised Arteloge’s understanding of the local market. Eric Giorgi, CEO of Arteloge, emphasized the shared commitment to innovation and quality and expressed pride in introducing Spark by Hilton to France.
