The historic Hotel Boulderado in Boulder, Colorado, is set for a significant revitalization following its acquisition by AJ Capital Partners. The landmark hotel’s renovations will be undertaken in partnership with its longtime owners, Frank and Gina Day.

Opened on New Year’s Eve in 1908, the Hotel Boulderado has been a prominent feature of the Boulder community for over 116 years. Its distinctive architecture, combined with its significant role in the city’s history, has made it more than just a hotel; it symbolizes Boulder’s distinct character and charm.

The upcoming renovations, due to commence later this year, aim to enhance the guest experience while preserving the hotel’s architectural splendor and historic legacy. Upon completion, the revitalized Hotel Boulderado will join the Graduate by Hilton collection, while its name and signature architectural elements will be preserved. The hotel will remain open during the renovation period.

Located at the heart of Boulder, Hotel Boulderado is close to the city’s major attractions, including the Pearl Street Mall, the University of Colorado Boulder campus, and various cultural landmarks like the Boulder Theater and Boulder Farmers Market.

The hotel’s name, a combination of “Boulder” and “Colorado,” was chosen to ensure guests would always remember their stay. The five-story brick building was designed by local architects and showcases a mix of Italian Renaissance and Spanish Revival architectural influences. As a designated city landmark and Historic Hotels of America member, the hotel stands as a testament to Boulder’s rich heritage.
