IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG) and its partner, BEST HOSPITALITY Network Inc., have announced that the Holiday Inn brand will return to Tokyo in 2025. The ANA Holiday Inn Tokyo Bay, a 132-room hotel, will be rebranded in April following an extensive renovation.
The Holiday Inn is known globally for its guest-centric and innovative stay experiences. This property will join a portfolio of 10 other ANA Holiday Inns across Japan, contributing to the brand’s worldwide presence of 1,234 hotels and 278 properties still in development.
Abhijay Sandilya, CEO of IHG ANA Hotels Group Japan and Managing Director of IHG Hotels & Resorts Japan & Micronesia, spoke about the return of the Holiday Inn brand to Tokyo and Kyoto. This move will offer both domestic and international visitors more accommodation options. He also highlighted their ongoing partnership with BEST HOSPITALITY Network Inc. and IHG’s plans to expand its portfolio of brands in Japan.
Masayuki Tsukada, CEO of BEST HOSPITALITY Network Inc., also expressed excitement over re-introducing the Holiday Inn brand in Tokyo with the ANA Holiday Inn Tokyo Bay opening. Considering Japan’s high number of international arrivals in 2024, he believes it’s an ideal time to relaunch this hotel.
The ANA Holiday Inn Tokyo Bay will be located on the upper floors of Seafort Tower, offering views of the Pacific Ocean. It is a short drive from JR Shinagawa Station and directly connected to Tennozu Isle Station on the Tokyo Monorail, offering easy access to local attractions and the entertainment hub of Odaiba Island. Currently, IHG operates five hotels across three brands in Tokyo.
