Hotel Okura Co., Ltd. signed a hotel management contract May 22, 2026, for Hotel Okura Thermal Resort & Spa Cappadocia, scheduled to open in 2028 in the historic village of Mustafapaşa in Türkiye’s Cappadocia region.
The contract was signed with Oluşum Grubu Gayrimenkul Yatırımları ve İnşaat Ticaret A.Ş., a hotel operating company backed by KK Universal, a real estate and hospitality investment group headquartered in Türkiye. The signing ceremony took place in Tokyo.
The property will be operated by Okura Saraylı Hotel Management A.Ş., a joint venture established in February 2015 by Hotel Okura Co., Ltd. and local partners Saraylı Turizm A.Ş. and MSIC Gayrimenkul Yatırım ve Danışmanlık Ticaret Ltd. Şti.
The resort will be located on Ürgüp Caddesi in Yeni Mahalle, Mustafapaşa Ürgüp / Nevşehir, Türkiye. The 9,177.25-square-meter site will have 23,500 square meters of total floor space and 102 guest rooms. Nevşehir Cappadocia Airport is approximately 55 kilometers from the property.
The resort will comprise four buildings, including preserved historic stone structures and newly constructed facilities. Three of the buildings will be connected by underground passages. A recently acquired historic mansion, recognized as a symbolic representation of the region’s cultural heritage, will be restored by KK Universal and integrated into the hotel.
Mustafapaşa, formerly known as Sinasos, is in the UNESCO World Heritage Cappadocia region and features centuries-old churches, mosques and carved stone buildings. In 2021, the United Nations World Tourism Organization recognized the village as a “Best Tourism Village” for preserving and enhancing local heritage, culture and biodiversity through sustainable tourism practices.
The property will include a 3,500-square-meter spa and wellness center, the largest in the region, with thermal baths using mineral-rich, licensed spring waters, Turkish hammam steam baths, and indoor and outdoor pools.
Three dining venues are planned, including the teppanyaki restaurant Sazanka and an all-day dining establishment.

Hotel Okura and KK Universal will continue discussions on future projects in Türkiye. Hotel Okura will pursue its growth in Türkiye exclusively through the partnership with KK Universal.
