In Brief: A Hyatt affiliate has entered into a franchise agreement for Hotel Palace Berlin, which is expected to become Hyatt Regency Palace Berlin in early 2027 following a phased renovation.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced Aug. 12 that Hotel Palace Berlin is expected to join the Hyatt Regency brand and World of Hyatt in early 2027. The property is in Berlin’s City West district, opposite the Berlin Zoo and within walking distance of Kurfürstendamm, the Europa-Center and transportation links.
The hotel has 239 guestrooms and 39 suites. Its facilities include a club lounge expected to be reconfigured as a Regency Club, the beef45 restaurant, two bars, a spa, a pool and about 2,600 square meters, or 28,000 square feet, of event space.
The event space comprises 18 venues with capacity for up to 900 guests for meetings, celebrations and social gatherings.
The phased renovation and modernization will focus on public areas and guestrooms, adding social spaces and updating accommodations.
Upon its conversion, Hyatt Regency Palace Berlin is expected to become the fourth Hyatt Regency hotel in Germany, joining Hyatt Regency Cologne, Hyatt Regency Düsseldorf and Hyatt Regency Mainz.
Hyatt’s existing Berlin portfolio includes Grand Hyatt Berlin, Me and All Hotel Berlin East Side, Lindner Hotel Berlin Ku’damm, part of JdV by Hyatt, and five Mr & Mrs Smith hotels.
As of the second quarter of 2026, Hyatt’s portfolio in Germany comprised 25 hotels with more than 5,000 rooms across eight brands. Hyatt Regency had more than 245 hotels in over 50 countries.
Additional details on the hotel’s opening are expected to be announced as the project progresses.
