Hotel101 Global Holdings Corp. has entered into definitive binding agreements for the development of a new hotel at 540 Flinders Lane in Melbourne’s Central Business District. The planned property is expected to include approximately 766 rooms and, according to the company, will be the largest hotel by room count in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
The project is expected to be completed by 2029. The development will feature meeting spaces and a conference center. The site is located in central Melbourne, close to Flinders Street and Southern Cross train stations, the Southbank entertainment precinct, and other major city landmarks.
Hotel101 Global projects that the Melbourne property will generate approximately AU$323.6 million in sales revenue upon full sale. The development is part of the company’s global expansion strategy.
The hotel is expected to offer amenities such as meeting spaces, a conference center, 24/7 reception, all-day dining, a swimming pool, a gym, a business center, a children’s pool, a rooftop bar, parking, luggage storage, and other facilities. The development remains subject to customary federal, state, and local regulatory approvals.
This announcement follows Hotel101 Global’s stated plans to expand its presence internationally. The company has indicated that its first global project, Hotel101-Madrid, is expected to begin accepting guests by March 2026.
