Nectar is a sweet treat in Hades 2 that can improve your relationship with your comrades.
It’s essential for learning more about all of the characters as they’ll open up and share little tidbits about themselves. Additionally, it’s the prominent method for unlocking Keepsakes as a vast majority of Keepsakes are unlocked by gifting characters Nectar for the first time. However, Nectars aren’t the most common item to find. There are only a few surefire ways to get Nectar, and they don’t give you a lot of Nectar at once.
Here’s how to get Nectar in Hades 2, and what it is used for.

What is Nectar used for in Hades 2
Nectar is one of the many gifts in Hades 2, and it’s used to improve your friendships with other characters. To give Nectar to other characters as a gift, you need to press RT on a controller or G on a keyboard. If it’s your first time giving a character a gift, they’ll most likely give you a Keepsake. We recommend gifting characters before you talk to them as some characters will leave the area after you interact with them.
Before you give your favorite character Nectar over and over again, we recommend unlocking the “Empath’s Intuition” incantation, which will update the Book of Shadows and show you exactly how far you’ve progressed in your relationships. It’ll also tell you if someone is willing to accept a gift and what gift they’re looking for.
Nectar can also be used as an ingredient for incantations and alchemy. It’s best to check your Cauldron to see if you need to hold onto any Nectar before giving it out as a gift.
