The Far Fields region in Hollow Knight: Silksong contains no less than three secret areas: One in the northeast, one in the southeast, and another between the Bellway station and Pilgrim’s Rest. As they’ll lead you to a lost flea, memory locket, Silkspeed Anklets, and more, it’s best to give them a visit.

As you would expect, finding and accessing secret areas takes a lot of effort. On top of finding the Seamstress, defeating the Fourth Chorus boss, and obtaining the Drifter’s Cloak, here’s how to unlock every secret area in the Far Fields. Additionally, if you need more help finding them, check out our full interactive Silksong map.

Far Fields secret area #1 – Needolin door

To access the first secret area, you must obtain the Needolin by defeating the Widow boss north of Bellhart and completing the “The Threadspun Town” quest. In short, you must pass through Bellhart from the direction of Greymoor, then find your way through Shellwood. If you move east from the Sister Splinter boss location and drop down, you will reach Widow’s lair.

When you’ve got Needolin, go to the southeastern corner of the Far Fields and use the Needolin next to the locked door to open it:

This secret area is called the Weavenest Cindril. To obtain the Silkspeed Anklets, sprint across the pressure plates to the east and grab the item at the end of the path.

To unlock another secret area (yes, a secret area within a secret area), you must sprint across the pressure plates again, but this time, trigger them all at the same time. To do so, equip the Silkspeed Anklets together with the Flea Brew, an item given to you after completing the “The Lost Fleas” quest and speaking with Grishkin after he relocates to Greymoor. After triggering the pressure plates, a hatch will open on the right side of the room. Drop down to collect the Rune Harp relic, which may be exchanged for rosaries in Relic Seeker Scrounge’s house, in Bellhart.

Far Fields secret area #2 – Path to the Lost Flea

To unlock the pathway between the Far Fields Bellway station and Pilgrim’s Rest, hit the wall in the lower right of the Bellway station. Before unlocking this hidden path, the map will look like this:
The entrance to a secret area in the Far Fields in Hollow Knight: Silksong.
Beware that this pathway requires serious parkour skills. As it only leads to a single lost flea (part of the Lost Fleas quest), you may want to skip this area or come back later. Furthermore, you will need the Cling Grip ability, a.k.a. Hollow Knight: Silksong’s wall jump, at the very least, but it’ll be helpful to get the Faydown Cloak and Clawline Ancestral Arts as well.
If you’re feeling up to the task, hit the glowing stones to cause explosions and unlock new air vents. Fly upwards and go to the right, but be careful not to hit the red thorns! When the path splits in two, the road below leads back to the Seamstress’ house, while the road upward leads to the Lost Flea and Pilgrim’s Rest.

Far Fields secret area #3 – Act 3

Finally, you can unlock a large new area in the northeast after starting Hollow Knight: Silksong Act 3. To reach this area, you must collect the Silk Soar ability from the bottom of the Abyss region before making your way through the Hunter’s March. When you reach the statue of the lady, then use the Silk Soar ability to jump up.

Continue to the right to explore this third and final secret area in Hollow Knight: Silksong‘s Far Fields.

While you’re exploring and completing quests like the “Rite of the Pollip” wish or “Silver Bells” request, make sure to spend some time progressing the main story as well, as you’ll get some upgrades that make battles easier. After “The Threadspun Town” quest, for instance, you can upgrade your needle to deal more damage.
