A former Real Housewife of New York had a wild night with Hugh Grant years ago…or did she? The Notting Hill actor just shared his side of the story after Luann De Lesseps recalled an intense night out between the two of them in a recent interview.
The Countess herself spoke to Too Fab last week, revealing that she had a night out with Grant that ended with the two of them “making out.”

“A girlfriend of mine called me and was like Hugh Grant is at Pierre’s,” she said, explaining that Grant was at the Hamptons’ restaurant. “I said, ‘I’ll be right over.’ I called and said, ‘Get the table right next to Hugh Grant.'”
After asking to be sat right behind him, she revealed that she pushed her chair out “real fast and I bumped into him.” Referring to it as “flirting 101,” she explained, “I bumped into him and said, ‘Oh I’m so sorry.’ He knows who I am because I know Andy [Cohen].”

“I go, ‘I’m so sorry. Can I buy you a shot, I feel terrible,'” she continued. “He goes, ‘Okay, but I’ll come have a shot with you if you do one with me.” She then revealed that suddenly they were taking shots and making out. “Heavily at the table! My brother was like, ‘I can’t believe you’re making out with Hugh Grant’, and I was like, ‘Neither can I.'”
Now, days after the story was published, Grant has spoken out about the encounter. Replying to the headline on X (formerly known as Twitter), Grant said, “Steady on. I do remember meeting a charming RHNY in a restaurant, but I’d like to stress it was about 15 years ago.”
He then revealed that he does not “recall shots or kissing,” writing, “but her memory might be better than mine.”

De Lesseps even replied to Grant’s post with a gif of herself from her time on RHONY, with the caption, “Literally crying laughing.”
