Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the opening of Hyatt Centric Malta, marking the brand’s first presence on the Mediterranean island. This is the seventh Hyatt Centric hotel in Europe and reflects the company’s growing portfolio in the region, which now features over 80 properties across 13 brands.

In St. Julian’s, a bustling resort town, Hyatt Centric Malta offers easy access to the island’s history and culture. The hotel is near the marina, world-class restaurants, pristine beaches, and several UNESCO World Heritage sites, including Valletta.

The 170-room hotel’s modern design reflects Malta’s rich history and traditions. The interior is inspired by the vibrant colors of Malta, with blue guestroom doors and earthy tones throughout the hotel. These design elements aim to create an inviting atmosphere while providing guests sophisticated comfort.

Hyatt Centric Malta also offers a locally inspired dining experience at its restaurant, JUMU. The menu includes a mix of traditional dishes adapted for contemporary tastes, all made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant aims to offer a vibrant atmosphere that embodies the Mediterranean spirit.

Besides its culinary offerings, the hotel provides wellness experiences for guests to relax and recharge. These include a rooftop pool with sea views, a boutique wellness center featuring an indoor pool, hot tub, Finnish sauna, and a gym equipped with the latest fitness technology.

The Hyatt Centric Malta also offers 1,808 square feet of event space, including three meeting rooms for business functions. “We are thrilled to welcome guests to the first Hyatt Centric hotel in Malta,” said Andrea Farrugia, hotel manager of Hyatt Centric Malta. “The hotel provides an engaging guest experience that captures the essence of Malta and offers a wealth of culture and historical experiences.”
