Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the opening of Hyatt Centric San José Escazú, the first Hyatt Centric branded hotel in Costa Rica.
The hotel has 161 rooms and suites in the Escazú neighborhood of Costa Rica’s capital city. It is inside the Plaza Tempo Shopping & Business Center, which provides guests with easy access to local shops, dining, and corporate offices.
The hotel’s location also allows guests to visit notable sites in and around San José, such as the National Stadium of Costa Rica, La Paz Waterfall Gardens, Poas Volcano National Park, and Costa Rica’s famous beaches, rainforests, and mountains.
Natalia Zora, General Manager of Hyatt Centric San José Escazú, stated that the hotel aims to cater to leisure travelers and meet the increasing demand for accommodations in the region. The hotel’s design is inspired by the local motto “pura vida,” meaning “pure life,” and aims to capture the country’s spirit.
The hotel’s modern decor and art reflect a journey from the hills of Escazú to the city’s urban center. Local Costa Rican artists collaborated with Artflow Gallery to create the hotel’s artwork, including cultural sculptures and glass elements in the common areas.
Guestrooms and suites feature vibrant colors inspired by the Costa Rican landscape. All guestrooms have seating areas, complimentary Wi-Fi, minifridges, plush bathrobes, and Drybar hair dryers.
The hotel also offers two dining venues that feature local flavors and craft cocktails. Cense Restaurant, located on the ground floor, blends Costa Rican specialties and international favorites. The 19-49 Lounge Bar & Café serves Costa Rican coffee and light snacks during the day and cocktails and small bites at night.
The hotel also features over 6,000 square feet of flexible event space for corporate events and special celebrations. Amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, in-house catering, parking, and a fitness studio.
To mark the hotel’s opening, World of Hyatt is offering its members the chance to earn 500 Bonus Points for qualifying nights at Hyatt Centric San José Escazú from November 20, 2024, to January 31, 2025.
