Hyatt Hotels Corporation has launched Hyatt Place Leeds and Hyatt House Leeds in the United Kingdom, marking the brand’s entry into the Leeds market. The dual-branded development offers a range of amenities and is located in the heart of Leeds city center.
Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced today the opening of Hyatt Place Leeds and Hyatt House Leeds in the United Kingdom. This launch marks the brands’ first venture into the Leeds market. The dual-branded development offers intuitive design, practical amenities, spacious rooms, and 24/7 convenience for guests.
Located in Leeds’ regenerated Sovereign Square, the hotels are proximate to the city’s bustling retail and restaurant scene and cultural and artistic landmarks like the Northern Ballet, West Yorkshire Playhouse, and First Direct Arena. The hotels offer 305 guestrooms, with Hyatt Place Leeds providing 217 rooms and Hyatt House Leeds offering 88 apartment-style guestrooms for extended stays.
General Manager Peter Dodd expressed excitement about the opening, noting the hotel’s contemporary layout and spacious suites’ design. He also highlighted Azotea, the rooftop bar and restaurant at Hyatt Place Leeds, which he expects to be a significant addition to the Leeds dining scene, offering Latin cuisine, live entertainment, and stunning city views.
Aimbridge Hospitality, a leading third-party management company, manages the hotels and restaurant. David Anderson, divisional president at Aimbridge EMEA, expressed pleasure in bringing their expertise to these new hotels in Leeds City Centre.
Hyatt Place Leeds and Hyatt House Leeds blend contemporary style with rich history, drawing inspiration from the city’s Victorian heritage. The hotels are BREEAM certified and fully electric, reflecting a commitment to sustainability.
Another highlight of the new development is the Azotea rooftop bar and Latin American restaurant on the property’s 12th floor. Azotea offers a mix of Latin American flavors and live music in a vibrant atmosphere. The ground floor features Zoom Restaurant & Bar, which offers all-day dining with global and locally inspired dishes.
The hotels provide versatile and functional meeting spaces. Four meeting rooms, including the largest, at 223 square feet, cater to various business needs. The Azotea rooftop bar can accommodate up to 200 guests for private events, offering a dynamic environment for business and leisure.
