Hyatt Hotels Corporation has officially opened its first hotel in Kenya, the Hyatt Regency Nairobi Westlands. The 219-room property is in Nairobi Westlands, a business hub and popular tourist destination.

The hotel seeks to provide a unique hospitality experience, blending aspects of local Kenyan culture with Hyatt’s signature service. Amenities include modern rooms, various dining options and a range of premium services.

Stephen Ansell, Hyatt’s Managing Director for Middle East and Africa, hailed the opening as a key milestone for Hyatt in the African market. General Manager Igor Jovovic echoed this sentiment, highlighting the hotel’s design, which reflects Kenya’s vibrant landscape and culinary offerings that offer a taste of Kenya’s diverse flavors.

The Hyatt Regency Nairobi Westlands offers 147 guestrooms and suites and 72 apartments. Each room has a 65-inch flat-screen smart TV, high-speed Wi-Fi, and deluxe bath amenities. Additional features such as an in-room coffee maker and tea station, a minifridge and a workspace contribute to guests’ comfort and convenience.

The hotel’s culinary offerings celebrate local flavors and international cuisine. Dining options include the District 6 Bar, which offers cocktails and a menu of international and local favorites; E.A.T, an all-day restaurant serving diverse cuisines; and The Atrium, which offers fine Kenyan coffees and teas.

For fitness enthusiasts, the hotel offers a comprehensive fitness center and an aerobic studio with varied classes. An indoor pool with city views is also available.

The Hyatt Regency Nairobi Westlands also provides meeting spaces suitable for various events, from boardroom discussions to large conferences. The top floor features a ballroom, one of the largest in East Africa, with views across the city.
