That’s all thanks to the smart ingredients — a few of which are also found in the dry shampoo. Firstly, baicapil. In my last review, Eva Proudman, a consultant trichologist at UK Hair Consultants, explained that baicapil is a plant-derived ingredient that combines soybean and wheat sprouts. Jade Summers, resident trichologist at Hare & Bone, also pointed me to a study that evaluated its effectiveness in cases of telogen effluvium (hair shedding), reporting positive results for reducing shedding, as well as boosting growth and overall strand density. Also in the dry shampoo, there’s lactic acid — a gentle exfoliating acid that helps clear away flakes and product buildup for a cleaner, healthier scalp. Lastly, there’s glycerin, a moisturising ingredient that keeps the scalp from becoming overly dry — even with repeated use.
