A beloved 1980s musician is still going strong, showing that being 75 years old isn’t slowing him down a bit. Rick Springfield just teased fans with details of a new project he has done, and everybody is eager to get their hands on it.

The iconic “Jessie’s Girl” singer took to Instagram to give his followers a short listen of what he has been putting together. “Here’s a snippet of ‘Go All the Way,’ my cover version of the 1972 Top 5 hit by the Raspberries,” Springfield wrote.

Springfield noted that Windy Wagner, Gregg Bissonette, and Matt Bissonette joined him on the song, and they put it together for a good cause. He noted that it is available for pre-order now, “as a super cool collector’s 45 RPM vinyl single with picture sleeve.”

He also shared that the B side of the record has another Raspberries cover, this time of their song “Tonight.” The audio Springfield included in his post was a snippet of the single, and fans didn’t need to hear anything more to get excited about it.

The Instagram post indicated that autographed copies are available for fans to purchase. However, Springfield cautioned that they were nearly sold out already.

Proceeds from the sales of the release will go to the Worldheart Foundation, run by The Exorcist star Linda Blair.

Fans took to the comment section to express their excitement over Springfield’s latest project.

One wrote, “Man this is phenomenal!!”

“Rick your voice is better than ever,” another raved.

Someone else gushed, “Omg Rick your voice as always is awesome! I remember this song way back when I was like 6 years old! Your version is so freaking awesome! Can’t wait definitely pre ordering this!”

Another commenter shared, “I have always loved that song but you made it phenomenal!”

Rick Springfield Also Put Together a Larger Raspberries Tribute Collection

A few days earlier, Springfield shared news of another related project. In an Instagram post he teased the single, but in addition, he also revealed he put together a 2-CD tribute album of Raspberries songs.

The 2-CD tribute album is also available now for preorder. In addition to the Bissonette brothers, Springfield collaborated with John Waite and Lou Gramm from Foreigner to put together additional tracks. The singer noted there were over 30 artists in total who worked together to create the tribute album.

The new singles are available with the 2-CD set, and a limited number of autographed ones are available separately.
