Iconic European fashion brand’s Toronto location is a gold mine for suits and staples

With over a century’s experience creating luxurious daily essentials, Tiger of Sweden knows a thing or two about stocking your closet for the holiday season.

Founded in Stockholm in 1903, the brand has built its name and fame on proprietary fits, quality fabrics and unique spins on classic garments, bringing the traditional suit into a new era.

The Justin P Brushed Wool Blazer in Green ($599) and Tenuta Brushed Wool Pants in Green ($299) exemplify Tiger of Sweden’s emblematic slim silhouette.

Crafted from recycled wool, the suit — which just so happens to be a fall/winter exclusive — is a perfect addition for the chillier season, especially when paired with a turtleneck or dark wash denim.

For a lighter look and feel, the Justin Wool Blazer in Green ($669) and Tenuta Wool Pants in Green ($329) feature the same silhouette as before, in a wool blend that has subtle stretch, and come in a selection of colours.

It’s rapidly becoming too cold in Toronto to step out in just a suit, and the Finnan Wool Coat in Black ($769) is a beyond-suitable (pun intended) extra layer to pair up with any of Tiger’s menswear. 

With a sharp, straigher fit, it’s roomy enough to accomodate a blazer and shirt underneath, and is made from a cashmere-wool blend that’s deliciously soft to the touch.

The Javin P Swedish Wool Blazer in Charcoal Grey ($899) is the brand’s venture towards a newer silhouette. Created from 100% Scottish Wool, the blazer features a houndstooth pattern and double-breaster, straight-fit design with clear English influences.

For a more casual look, the Hudson Wool Blazer in Charcoal Grey ($699) bridges the gap between style and comfort, featuring a short lapel that’s reminiscent of a ‘shacket,’ while still being crafted from a quality wool blend and fully lined.

An indesputable essential from Tiger of Sweden’s core collection, the Eross Merino Wool Sweater in Beige  ($299) is a luxurious take on an otherwise timeless polo design, with the added benefit of being made in airy 100% Merino wool.

While many of the pieces at Tiger of Sweden fall under the more neutral and timeless umbrellas, the Claud Wool Sweater Vest in Multicoloured ($259) is a go-to item for anyone in the market for a piece that has a little bit more spunk to it.

It’s not just men who get to don Tiger of Sweden’s heritage designs though, they also carry a women’s line which, in true Tiger fashion, features a number of carefully-crafted designs with diverse styling options.

The Ylja Recycled Polyester Blazer in Beige ($529) and Eller Recycled Polyester Trousers in Beige ($279) are Tiger’s stab at adapting the slim-fit men’s silhouette for the girls in a stretchy recycled polyester blend.

Paired with the Rimina Wool Coat in Black ($779), it’s a no-brainer to throw on for a day in the office.

The Sian Merino Wool Skirt in Navy Blue ($379) is another wintertime essential, with a beautiful, weighty drape, it maintains free movement, while being on the heavier, longer side to keep you warm during the winter months.

A similarly versatile piece, the Jela Top in Light Blue ($149) is an elegant elevation to the average tanktop or T-shirt, but, with comprised of 100% lyocell and featuring delicate cap sleeves and a cowl neck, is just as comfortable.
