The Hotel Continental, a historic Miami Beach property dating back to 1948, has recently reopened as part of the Tapestry Collection by Hilton. The revitalized hotel, purchased by Spot On Ventures for $44 million and managed by Highgate, now boasts midcentury-modern design elements and carefully designed social spaces.
Xander Brown, Head of Acquisitions and Capital Markets at Spot On Ventures emphasized the company’s commitment to long-term investment in the communities in which it operates. Spot On Ventures’ portfolio includes over 3,500 rooms with a market value exceeding $2 billion. Brown expressed a desire for Hotel Continental to serve residents and travelers.
The Hotel Continental is situated in Miami Beach’s Mid-Beach neighborhood, forming part of the historic Collins Waterfront Architectural District. It is conveniently located near the beach, Miami’s famous waterfront boardwalk, a variety of high-quality restaurants, nightlife, shopping, cultural institutions, and the award-winning Miami Beach Convention Center, making it an ideal location for leisure and business travelers.
The hotel’s design pays homage to Miami Beach’s midcentury charm, featuring 100 newly renovated rooms combining retro decor and modern amenities. The hotel displays pieces by acclaimed artists Danny O’Connor and T.S. Harris, and a 1950s Miami Modern-inspired pool sits at the heart of the property. The hotel also offers communal spaces like the Mixer Lounge and Divebar and an on-site Italian pizzeria, Piola.
A unique feature of the Hotel Continental is its 34-foot luxury Chris-Craft Launch, available as an add-on for guests. The boat, which can accommodate up to eight people, has a custom teak deck, a spacious sun pad, and a swim platform with a retractable swim ladder. Guests can also enjoy a private charter, a curated culinary experience prepared by the hotel’s executive chef, and a champagne breakfast in bed as part of a signature sunset cruise package.
Spot On Ventures aims to blend a commitment to service with a love of storytelling, reflected in the attention to detail throughout the guest journey and the authenticity of the property’s narrative.
