The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) is set to expand its presence in Himachal Pradesh with the introduction of a new Gateway hotel in McLeodganj. This brownfield project development involves a partnership with Mcleo Times Square. The hotel will feature 65 rooms near significant local attractions, including the Dalai Lama Temple and Namgyal Monastery.

Located within walking distance to the McLeodganj market, the hotel aims to cater to the increasing number of tourists drawn to the area’s cultural and spiritual offerings. The facility will include an all-day dining restaurant, a bar, meeting spaces, a fitness center, and a spa, aiming to provide comprehensive services to guests.

This new addition will bring IHCL’s total number of hotels in Himachal Pradesh to 13, with eight currently under development. The strategic expansion in McLeodganj is part of IHCL’s broader initiative to strengthen its hotel network across key leisure destinations in the state, which include Shimla, Manali, Dharamshala, Naldhera, and Sirmaur.

The Gateway brand, under IHCL, is designed to offer travelers enhanced connectivity and comfort in key tourist destinations. This project in McLeodganj is expected to leverage the town’s growing popularity among domestic and international visitors attracted to its unique blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage.

The launch date for the Gateway McLeodganj has not been disclosed.
