The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the launch of its Claridges Collection, a carefully curated selection of boutique luxury hotels. Each hotel in the collection is designed to offer a blend of elegance and historical charm, appealing to those who appreciate the finer things in life.

The initiative comes as India’s economic prominence grows, leading to a demand for luxury products and services, particularly amongst the expanding high-net-worth demographic. IHCL’s CEO, Puneet Chhatwal, stated, “With India’s growing economic prominence, the income pyramid is witnessing a structural shift and the demand for luxury products and services is at an all-time high led by significant expansion of households in the high-net-worth bracket.”

Chhatwal further revealed that the Claridges Collection “resonates with those well-versed in the nuances of global luxury and seek evolved and bespoke experiences.” The hotels will be located in key gateway cities worldwide, serving as cultural and social prominence hubs. The Claridges Collection portfolio will commence with The Claridges, New Delhi and will include the historic Connemera, Chennai and the Blue Diamond, Pune after a comprehensive renovation.

Suresh Nanda, promoter of Claridges Hotels Pvt. Ltd., expressed excitement over the strategic partnership between IHCL and the iconic Claridges brand. He believes the collaboration unites IHCL’s renowned expertise as a global leader in hospitality with Claridges’ rich heritage and award-winning culinary offerings. Nanda is confident that the alliance will redefine industry benchmarks and showcase the best of both partners.

The Claridges Collection has an ambitious vision to build its portfolio across India’s metro cities and key leisure destinations to have over 20 hotels by 2030.
